Who is Mike Romano?

Attorney Romano is a member of numerous professional organizations and proudly serves on the Executive Committee and Board of Governors of the West Virginia Association for Justice. Attorney Romano is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Harrison County Bar Association and currently serves as an officer. Mr. Romano has served on the Harrison County Grants Committee among other civic activities, and he is actively involved in politics at both the State and County levels. Attorney Romano guest lectures at the high school and collegiate levels as well at continuing legal education classes for lawyers around the State. Attorney Romano is a Certified Public Accountant having worked for KPMG Peat Marwick, which at the time, was "Big Six" accounting firm.

Attorney Romano was an officer with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission in its Enforcement Division assisting on civil and criminal prosecutions of federal securities violations among companies with publicly traded securities. While at the SEC, he was appointed to the Chairman's Thrift and S&L Fraud Task Force, which was charged with prosecuting fraud committed by savings and loan financial institutions in the 1990's. Mr. Romano spent three years in the SEC's Division of Corporate Finance reviewing IPO and other security offerings.
