Open Positions
IT Internship Program — Two Positions Open
Harrison County Commission’s IT Department is seeking two paid interns from local colleges or trade schools to gain hands-on experience supporting county technology operations.
What you’ll work on
- Assisting with the county’s ongoing website modernization project
- Supporting digital accessibility remediation (WCAG 2.1 AA compliance)
- General IT support: troubleshooting, documentation, day-to-day department tasks
- Exposure to Windows Server administration, IIS, PowerShell scripting, and networking fundamentals
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an IT, computer science, networking, or related program at a local college or trade school
- Basic computer literacy; no professional experience required
- Reliable, willing to learn
- Able to work on-site at the Harrison County Courthouse
