The Law Enforcement Division serves as the operational headquarters for patrol, criminal investigations, and law enforcement services. The Sheriff’s administrative offices (civil process, concealed weapon permits, tax collection) are located at the Harrison County Courthouse, 229 S. Third Street.

Access non-exempt public records held by the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office under W. Va. Code §29B-1-1 et seq.
Under the West Virginia Freedom of Information Act (W. Va. Code §29B-1-1 et seq.), members of the public may request access to non-exempt public records held by the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office. Agencies are required to respond to FOIA requests within five business days of receipt.
To submit a request, complete the Sheriff’s Office FOIA Request Form and email it to SheriffFOIA@harrisoncountywv.gov, or send a written request including your name, contact information, and a clear description of the records you are seeking.
